NEWS FROM HELIOS – AUGUST 2003

The Gallery is now becoming established in its new home. Many of our supporters have been to visit, enjoyed the suroundings and bought paintings and prints. The variety and quality of our stock is still maintained as we endeavour to find work to enhance our reputation and attract new customers.

Gillian Lever has been commissioned by the Belmont String Quartet, part of the CBSO, to produce seven large paintings to illustrate Hayden's The Seven Last Words, a dramatic and devotional reflection on the story of Christ's crucifixon. Gillian has obtained a grant from The Arts Council and is now working towards the culminstion of this project which will be performed at Easter on Sunday 4th April at 2.30pm. Tickets will be available from the CBSO Box Office.
