A fine miniature blue glazed faience amulet depicting the goddess Sekhmet seated on a throne.

Egypt, c. 8th or 7th Century BC

Tip of one ear chipped otherwise intact

Size: 2 x 0.7 cms, 4.7 cms including stand

Ex. Tausz collection, Vienna, Austria and thence Hampstead, UK; acquired before 1939. Ex. Maurice Nahman, Cairo, Egypt (1868-1948).

Mounted on a wood plinth with an attached typed label.
