A polished grey stone axe head with a wide cutting blade and squared sides.

Ireland, Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, 3rd to 2nd Millennium BC

Intact apart from some minute chips, tactile polished surface

Size: 9.1 x 5.7 cms

Ex. collection: Dr Hugh Alderson Fawcett (1891-1982); formerly in the Robert Stonard collection.

Various white ink inscription on both sides.
